This week we learned about the transfer of energy using collisions! Students used cardboard ramps and toy cars to create a collision course. It was wonderful to hear their theories about why and how the cars moved after the impact.
At the end of the week, we grabbed the Chromebooks and experimented with building roller coasters. Using different variables, students were charged with creating an exciting ride that didn't run off the ramp at the end of the ride. Once they were successful, they changed the configuration of their cars and/or track to add more excitement!
